Ready to Serve Caldwell!

About Diana

My name is Diana Register, and I am running for City Council, Seat #3, Caldwell, Idaho. Caldwell has been called the "Treasure of the Valley", but I fear we are quickly losing that reputation. I want to represent you as we hopefully begin to heal.

I have three wonderful kids. I'm the proud mother of a U.S. Navy veteran (who now serves as a police officer, ), a college graduate, and a licensed cosmetologist. I'm also a stepmother to an active-duty sailor currently serving in the U.S. Navy. Service runs deep in our family - and so does our love for this community.

In additon to my work on the City Council, I'm a licensed realtor and the owner of a small business. Before that, I spent years as a police dispatcher and have published several books focused on grief, healing, and hope.

I ran for office because I belive local government should work for the people - with transparency, integrity, and accountability. I'm not a career politician - I'm a mom, business owner, and someone who deeply believes  in protecting the future of Caldwell.

Whether we're discussing growth, public safety, infrastructure, or the everyday concerns of our residents, I'll always be someone who listens, speaks up, and leads with heart.

If you ever want to connect, ask questions, or share concerns, I'm just a message away.

Let's build a stronger Caldwell - TOGETHER!

Why I Want to Continue Serving

Serving on the Caldwell City Council has been an incredible honor, and it's only deepened my commitment to this community. I chose to run because I care about the people who live here - our safety, our growth, our future - and I've worked hard to be a voice for transparency, accountability, and common-sense decision making.

But, there's still work to do.

Caldwell is changing, and with that comes both opportunity and responsibility. I want to continue making sure our decisions reflect the needs of the people - not just today, but for the future we're building together.

This city matters to me. The people matter to me. And, I'm ready to keep showing up, listening, and doing the work.

Why You Should Vote for Me

I'm running because I believe Caldwell deserves representatives who do their homework, ask hard questions, and aren't afraid to speak up - even when it's uncomfortable.

When the conversation around parking meters came up, I took the time to dig in. I researched the costs, the contracts, and the long-term impact. I brought forward facts and stood up for what was best for our community - and I wasn't afraid to challenge the problems I found along the way.

During the hotel discussion, I was mostly silenced - given just 10 minutes to speak on an issue that deserved far more scrutiny. But, even though my voice was limited in that moment, I have not gone silent. And I haven't backed down or stepped into the corner some people would rather I stay in.

I support public safety - not just in words, but in action. And I support this community. I believe that as elected officials, we are a proxy for the people's voice, and we have a responsibility to use that role wisely. I do not believe decisions should be made without community input. That's not government - that's gatekeeping.

When it comes to growth, I believe we need to make it make sense. That's why I've repeatedly asked for a clear, consistent cover sheet that helps us evaluate projects more effectively - and helps the community understand what's actually being proposed. I'll keep pushing for that, because we all deserve to know what we're voting on - and how it impacts our future.

If you want someone who shows up prepared, speaks truth to power, and represents with the community in mind - I hope I can earn your vote.
